Worry Exposure vs Relaxation Treatment

Anxiety Insights links to a study that examined the use of Worry Exposure (WE) as a treatment for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

The goal of the study was to determine if Worry Exposure, as a stand-alone treatment, would be effective as demonstrated by empirical data.

The study group was relatively small. 73 patients participated, and at the completion of the study, researchers believed that Worry Exposure was indeed effective, and that WE and Applied Relaxation were both good approaches for treatment of GAD.
